Ronen was born in Tel-Aviv Israel in 1960.
He graduated the Tel Aviv university film Dept. 1983-1986.
In his first few years in the film industry Ronen worked as Asst. Cameraman and Focus Puller in many Israeli and American feature films such as "The Beast" and "Iron Eagle".
In 1994 Ronen started working as a Cinematographer and has been doing so ever since, he has also directed, produced and edited numerous projects throughout the years.
He specializes in TV including many series and programs, commercials (including local VT) and Documentaries and shot "Its about time" an Israeli documentary that won the prestigious Japanese NHK award and the Volgin Jerusalem International Film awared:
"The jury would like to emphasize that, in this film, editing, cinematography, music, script writing, and inventive direction depart from the realm of technique to become meaning and substance."
He filmed a PBS documentary for Frontline and he works for all the major Israeli channels.
He now resides in Vermont and travels on shoots in the US and abroad.
